Large scale textural paintings exploring the notions of life and death in decay.

These works are produced on large paper using black ink, white emulsion and water. Through various ways of combining these materials, I am able to create a range of textures and marks that resonate decay. The black and white aspect suggests life and death, something that is ultimately linked to decay. Black being associated with death and the white linking to the void left behind by a loved one. I work on paper to allow the materials to soak through and create a trace on the surface below.
